BE.U: [Review] IOPE Air Cushion XP Foundation ~ a mixing feeling ~

Since I am still enjoying these last days of my winter holiday, I try to build up my blog as much as I can ...This gonna be the last post of today * I really want a rest after writing this one ^^*

- Innisfree Long Wear Cushion
- IOPE Air Cushion
- Laneige BB Cushion
IOPE actually is the first brand that creates the idea of air cushion and XP cushion is the last recent version and 3 different version Natural, Shimmer and Cover and 3 different shades which are C21, C22 ( only in Shimmer version ) and C23. However, same shade in different version will not look perfectly the same. Mine is in the shade C21 ;)
I tried out the Etude House Cushion last year and now is this one. I would say that yes, this one is much better than Etude House even from the packaging to the performance, but price does go with it.
I bought it when I was in VN ,sorry guys, I don't really remember its price but surely, It's not cheap. However, as the price you paid for a whole box like that, It's quite reasonable and worthy because you also have a refill which has a same amount of the main one (15g x 2) as well as a little information paper. Additionally, the sponge applicator along with the product is really good, easily blend out and give you a perfect natural looking.
For the past 3 months, it was the only foundation base stuff that I own so yes, I used this a lot ^^ not everyday though. My feeling about this product does get better as I get used to it :)
IOPE packaging to what I noticed is exactly the same as the Laneige one, even same size really. I definitely love how it looks, compact and luxurious. ( The Etude House looks quite cheap in my opinion ). About the design, I think that all air cushions come from the same design which makes it distinguish-able from CC or BB cream.
To what IOPE claims for this cushion ( I read from the paper )
It does moist my skin well throughout the day as I haven't seen any dryness during the time I'm wearing this.
About its performance, I like it but still, t's not a BIG BANG for me :)
The shade does match perfectly and brighten my skin tone although my face still looks natural.
The formula is good which blends really well and does not leave any cakey feeling for my skin. It's really light texture to the point that I feel like nothing on my skin. Yes, this babe also gives me a healthy vibrant looking with smoothness but I don't think It can create much dewy glowy finish for me like what it's advertised.
Another bonus thing is that this cushion has SPF 50/ PA +++ which can actually helps you just skip the sunscreen step. However, I always apply my sunscreen even before I wear any make up just to ensure that my skin actually is protected.
I don't know whether you can notice that It does have a little bit of cooling effect which I like. And, one other thing is that this one smells damn good.
About a pore care and skin recover ... that IOPE promises, I would say that I can't see any improvement from that. My pore still need a help of primer, so yeah...
I wouldn't recommend this one for those who have oily skin. I just don't know why at the first time I used it, my skin became extremely shining because of oiliness just after a few hours applying this one @@ That was such a nightmare for me although my skin type is only combination. However, it gets better now :)
The coverage of this one in my opinion is totally suck. SO if you have a perfect smooth skin without any blemishes, if you just need a little cover up your skin but still look absolutely natural... you should go for this one.
However, for those who need more coverage I wouldn't recommend this :) otherwise, you will need a huge amount of concealer to put on.
But I still believe that it can be built up to medium coverage. Personally, I don't like to touching up that much coat on my face so yeahh...
About the lasting time, again, honestly, I don't think it's long lasting enough like the Laneige one. After maximum 6 hours on my skin, when I check up on a mirror, all the smoothness, beauty just fade away that quick!!! So for what IOPE claims " sweatproof" -- NO NO . Although it will stay on your skin probably a whole day * I don't know how- when I remove my makeup after a whole day, It still comes out like it does a great job :( * I think you absolutely have to touch up ^^ don't worry it does not leave any caking finish after that :)
And another thing is if you accidentally touch your skin or swiping with sth, it may leave uneven skintone ^^ so you definitely should check it up after few hours.
Also, this does not work well with loose powder, loose powder may cause the finish quite caking so be aware of that.
Overall, I only have a neutral feeling for this product although I heard lots of people raving about it.

However, I still have a desire to try out the Laneige one hihi. On the other hand, I definitely prefer the IOPE to Etude House one but I still think I wouldn't repurchase it ( a whole refill is waiting for me ^^ ).
It's only my opinion for what I can feel about this product so far , this may be perfect for you therefore if you have chance to try, just don't miss this ;)

- Does Brighten my skin

- Can reapply without caking
- Easy to remove
Cons:
- Not really long lasting
- Doesn't have good coverage
- Can leave uneven skintone
- Not really sebum or oily control.
